COFFEE + CHAGGA TOWN

On this occasion you will be able to visit a place dyed green everywhere where natives of the area will teach you how to make coffee as well as explain what life was like in the tribes.

First, you will descend to the houses built underground to learn a little more about the lifestyle and what the daily life of the Chagga was like. Be careful with your head!

Later, you will see how coffee is harvested and grown as well as crushed, ground and boiled to finally be able to serve you a delicious cup of coffee made by yourself. At the end of the visit you will be able to visit a store where you can buy coffee and spices.

Leaving the Chagga town behind we will head towards the Materuni Falls. A waterfall with a height of 90 meters, this being the highest on the slopes of Kilimanjaro. Don’t forget to bring your swimsuit because, despite the water being a little cold, it is a wonderful experience to take this route and be able to have a photo right next to the waterfall in all its splendor.

HOTSPRING

In the middle of a semi-arid landscape you will discover an oasis made up of a group of fig trees that extend around completely crystalline water. They give the sensation of being Hot Springs since the water springs directly from the depths and gives the impression that it boils.

The oasis is made up of two parts connected by a canal that has a strong natural current so let yourself be carried from one side to the other or try to beat the current. The first place consists of a zip line and you can see how the natives, as well as tourists, jump and take a big dip. Also, there are tiny fish that if you stay still will stick to your skin, which is very good for exfoliation and they tickle.

The other part is quieter and usually gets more sun, so if you want to relax, it is undoubtedly the best place. You can also rent floats at a very cheap price to complete the experience.

Finally, you will have the option of enjoying a barbecue before leaving or, if you want, taking a last swim.

KAYAK LAKE CHALA

This is a lake/crater on the border between Tanzania and Kenya. About 52 km from Moshi. It has a depth of 95 meters, which makes it deeper than the famous Lake Victoria. Its waters coming from the depths are dyed with colors ranging from turquoise to green. There you can take a walk that will consist of a descent of about 100 meters deep into the crater until you reach the shore of the lake.

Between the months of December to March, during the day it is usually hot but the afternoons and nights are more refreshing. Between May and September it is a little colder, so for mornings and sunsets it will be better to bring warm clothing.

As advice, good walking shoes, sun cream, binoculars for bird watching, hat, appropriate clothing for changes in temperature. You can take a refreshing shower after kayaking, so we also recommend a towel and flip-flops.

KILIMANJARO

The first stage of Kilimanjaro has as its starting point what is known as “Marangu Gate” at about 1850 meters and will consist of about 8 kilometers traveled in two halves: A climb of 3-4 hours and a descent of 2-3 hours.

The trip will begin after breakfast and you will be able to enter the forest until you reach the Mandara camp. Inside, you will find Colobus monkeys, magnificent birdlife, as well as large eucalyptus trees. Upon reaching the “Mandara Hut” you can rest and have lunch before descending again.

At all times you will be accompanied by a qualified guide with the corresponding license so that you can resolve any questions that may arise along the way.

SAFARI

The Safari, something that we have all heard since we were children, being able to enter the savannah and enjoy the wildlife of lions, elephants, hyenas, zebras… Many people believe that it is an experience outside of the general economic possibilities as it has an exorbitant price, Nothing could be further from the truth. It is true that it is the most expensive excursion but there is nothing like enjoying a Safari in no less than 3 parks: Tarangire, Serengeti and the Ngorongoro Crater. We explain the 2 possible options:

2-DAY SAFARI TO TARANGIRE + NGORONGORO
4-DAY SAFARI TO TARANGIRE + SERENGUETI + NGORONGORO

We offer both possibilities depending on what you want to see and the economic possibilities of each one.

Each park is different and offers different landscapes, as well as animals. Tarangire is a very arid place considered the home of elephants so, without a doubt, it is the place where you can see dozens of them with your family. Of course you will be able to see more animals such as giraffes, zebras, wildebeests, antelopes…

(For me it is the best park to see the first one since you know the Jeep experience, you see your first animals, you spend the first night in a kind of Igloo or tent, but believe me you will want more and more.)

The Serengeti, the jewel in the crown in the world of Safari, an esplanade of 13,000 km2 where you can see the “Big Five”, being the elephant, leopard, lion, buffalo and rhinoceros.

It is a dream place for every fan of nature and animals. Traveling the roads in search of animals hunting, sleeping, playing… is something wonderful and once in a lifetime. Being lucky enough to enjoy the sunset and sunrise in the middle of the savannah is an experience that you will surely never forget.

Finally, the Ngorongoro Crater, a protected area of 8,200 km2, inside you will discover different ecosystems such as lagoons full of hippos, gigantic herds of wildebeest and zebras… In addition, it is the place where you will have the best chance of seeing the most difficult animal to see. visualize the rhinoceros throughout the trip. It is a very shy and elusive animal and being lucky enough to even try to see it is both fun and very comforting to have completed the list.

This is just a summary, if you want to know tips, other people’s experiences, what you expect and what you don’t from a safari, go to the blog and you can read everything in detail.
