THE TIGER ROUTE

9 DAYS IN NEPAL

TRIP SUMMARY

Nepal: Between Temples, Jungle and Mountains

Nepal is a magical country nestled in the Himalayas, where tradition and nature coexist in perfect harmony. The journey begins in Kathmandu, a vibrant city full of history and spirituality. Highlights include Durbar Square and the famous Monkey Temple, a sacred site with stunning views.

The adventure then continues to Chitwan National Park, where a safari offers the chance to observe rhinoceroses, crocodiles, and, with some luck, the elusive Bengal tiger. Finally, Pokhara provides an unforgettable closing chapter, with peaceful lakes and unique panoramas of the world’s highest mountains.

DAY 2

PATAN AND BHAKTAPUR

After breakfast, you will explore two of the cities that, together with Kathmandu, form the Valley of Temples: Patan and Bhaktapur, both UNESCO World Heritage Sites. Patan, known as “the city of festivals,” stands out for its art and tradition, while Bhaktapur, called “the medieval city,” seems frozen in time. Highlights include: Durbar Square, Taumadhi Square, Nyatapola Temple, Pottery Square, Dattatraya Square, Golden Temple, Buddhist Monastery, Medieval Palace Complex, and the Great Hindu Temple.

DAY 3

SECOND PART OF KATHMANDU

Visit Boudhanath Stupa, a spectacular circular structure built like a mandala. Then explore Swayambhunath Temple, a nearly 2,000-year-old stupa and iconic landmark of Kathmandu. Located on a hilltop, it is accessed by 365 steps surrounded by monkeys, earning it the nickname “Monkey Temple.” At the top, the eyes of Buddha overlook the valley.

DAYS 4-5

CHITWAN SAFARI

Departure to Chitwan National Park (approx. 150 km). Accommodation in a resort with full board. This UNESCO World Heritage Site is Nepal’s most important park, home to rhinos, crocodiles, elephants, and the elusive Bengal tiger. Activities include canoe rides, elephant breeding center visit, a 45-minute jeep safari, and the possibility of bathing with elephants.

DÍAS 6-7

POKHARA

On day 6, transfer to Pokhara, located on the shores of Lake Phewa and known as the gateway to the Annapurna treks. Accommodation in Sarangkot. On day 7, visit the World Peace Pagoda, Devi’s Falls, the Tibetan Refugee Camp, the old town of Pokhara, the Suspension Bridge, and enjoy a one-hour boat ride.
