TRIP SUMMARY

Become the ultimate explorer. On this 12-day journey you will experience the full scale of Uganda, from its northern extremes to its southern borders.

You will witness the raw power of water at the iconic Murchison Falls and track white rhinos on foot in Ziwa. Your expedition continues through Africa’s most vibrant ecosystems: chimpanzees in Kibale, savanna predators in Queen Elizabeth National Park, and the mystery of tree-climbing lions in Ishasha.

As the grand finale, you will descend into the mist of Bwindi to experience the indescribable encounter with mountain gorillas, before finding complete serenity on the deep, scenic waters of Lake Bunyonyi.

ITINERARY SUMMARY

DAYS 1-3

RHINOS AND THE POWER OF THE NILE

After arrival in Entebbe, travel north. You will track white rhinos on foot in Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary. In Murchison Falls National Park you will enjoy vast game drives, a boat safari to the base of the falls, and witness the Nile violently forcing its way through a narrow gorge.

DAYS 4-5

THE CAPITAL OF PRIMATES

Journey south to Kibale. Experience chimpanzee tracking before continuing to the open plains of Queen Elizabeth National Park.

DAYS 6-7

KAZINGA CHANNEL AND ISHASHA LIONS

Enjoy a boat safari on the Kazinga Channel, then head south to Ishasha to search for the iconic tree-climbing lions, ending the day with a sundowner at sunset.

DAYS 8-9

THE SEARCH FOR SILVERBACKS

Transfer to Bwindi. Experience the physical and emotional challenge of gorilla trekking, one of Africa’s most profound wildlife encounters.

DAYS 10-12

LAKE BUNYONYI AND LAKE MBURO RELAXATION

After the intensity, unwind with a peaceful canoe ride among the islands of Lake Bunyonyi. The journey concludes with safaris and walking experiences in Lake Mburo National Park before crossing the Equator and returning to Entebbe.
